With nothing more than a dollar and a dream, Dario immigrated to the United States. He overcame countless hurdles as he moved from city to city, job to job. Eventually, his journey brought him from California to the beautiful state of Michigan where he met his wife, Angelica. Together, fueled with Dario’s pristine vision and Angelica’s unwavering support, they founded La Rosita.

Their mission: to create a family-friendly environment, where both Detroiters and tourists alike can enjoy authentic Mexican food and groceries, has been the foundation of La Rosita’s success for the past 19 years. Today, with the help of their three children and dedicated staff, Dario and Angelica are proud to call Detroit home as they continue to serve their local community.
